Winter Baseball Camps 2010-2011

Fox Valley Sports Academy Winter Camps are available for players 7-10 &10-12 years old. Different sessions are scheduled during the winter months and are separated so players can attend multiple camps and work on different skills (hitting and pitching). VALUE PRICED AT $79!

Winter Baseball Hitting Camps

Players will learn the proper mechanics of hitting and bunting. Instructors will cover: batting stance, hitting approach, and the various mechanical components of a sound swing. Players will work in hitting stations and learn through group instruction.

Winter Baseball Pitching Camps

Players will learn the proper mechanics of throwing and apply them to fundamental pitching technique. Instructors will cover proper grip and the proper components of delivering a pitch from the windup and stretch positions.

Catcher Camps 2011

Intermediate Catcher's Camp:
Players will concentrate on basic setup and receiving technique. Players will also cover mechanics relating to: throwing to bases, blocking pitches as well as basic footwork essential to the catcher position. Players must bring their own gear (mask/chest/guards/glove) to camp each week.

Advanced Catchers Camp:
Players will concentrate on developing solid throwing and blocking skills associated with in game situations. In addition advanced players will also cover: catching defense, fielding bunts, taking plays at home plate, pop flies, wild pitches, mental approach to the position, pitch calling, receiving, framing and throwing to bases including the improvement of pop times with base stealers. Players must bring their own gear (mask/chest/guards/glove) to camp each week.

Nike SPARQ Speed and Agility Camp

Blackline Athletic hosts this Nike-SPARQ Camp: Increasing SPEED, POWER, AGILITY, REACTION and QUICKNESS. Sessions start off with giving players a basic understanding on biomechanics, then applying those lessons in a dynamic and progressive format; working on motion paths, running technique and reinforcing solid form and movement efficiency for all sports. Players learn principles to improving athleticism and how to apply those learnings directly to their position(s). Long-term benefits of this training are sustained energy, stamina and a reduced risk of injury through proper conditioning.
